Education:
I started learning when I was 13 years old. I learnt from Elshaddai Music Academy in chennai (Trinity College London) after which I trained myself to play songs on my own in different styles. I have done multiple music courses.
Experience:
I have 6 years of online teaching experience. I train students to appear for music exams which will get them certificate from various reputed colleges all around the world which in turn will get them credits in their higher grades. I have trained nearly 200 students in 6 years. My students are from US, Canada, India, Australia, Singapore, UK etc.
Course details:
I teach using power point presentations (lesson wise). And each lesson has music theory, sheet music, sight reading, ear training, scales and chords exercises, chord progression, left hand patterns, arpeggios, rhythm exercise.
I give practical example with songs for each and every new concepts. I give activity, exercise and homework for every concepts so that students understand the concept very well and are able to play the same. I also provide video of all lessons so that students can refer and do their homework with ease.
After 5 days of 1 hour session each, students will start to play with both hands. By the end of the course, students will be able to read music sheets, play from music sheets, write/play any music composition on their own, play any song on their own in any style.
Style of work:
I have planned and implemented integrated lessons to meet international standards. Incorporated multiple types of teaching strategies into classroom.
Communicated frequently with parents, students to provide feedback and discuss instructional strategies. Worked cooperatively with parents to help students reach learning objectives.
I teach both online/in person classes. My classes include both one on one / customized group lessons.
Online classes will be either through google meet, skype ( ****** ).
Performance:
I also conduct small competitions where all students are asked to perform. The best performer gets a surprise gift to encourage and motivate the students to play in front of the audience.
