Meditation is, of course, the practice of quieting the mind and focusing on the present moment. Though yoga and meditation are different, yoga is often described as “moving meditation” — calming the mind and creating awareness through simple body movements.

Improved memory: Better focus through regular meditation may increase memory and mental clarity.
Meditation is always an individual journey because it's a journey into the self. However, the group allows us to go deeper into ourselves. We're able to take advantage of the group's high vibrations to raise our own beyond our immediate ability. It's important to have an individual, daily practice.
