Includes various aspects of general surgical aspects required for a medical graduate to know and helps interns work and understand better during the internship in general surgery department.
Teaching schedule includes various aspects of theoretical and practical implications to be known by interns before finishing general surgery internship
Topics covered - Suturing techniques, suture materials, tissue handling, wound management, Various types of dressing, common surgical procedures to be known by an intern, preoperative management, postoperative management, diagnosis of common surgical emergencies, surgical casualty management and priorotizing the patients, management of mass casualty under general surgery, management of polytrauma, urinary catheter care, drain care, ryles tube care, tracheostomy care, management of burns, OPD management of common surgical conditions, Diagnosing common surgical conditions radiologically, etiquettes in surgical ward and OT, legal implications in general surgery.
The teaching session will be more of a practical based approach that helps the intern work better under general surgery department.
Teaching will be on online platform.
Classes will be in evening hours and weekends.
Timings can be customised as per the requirement of the student based on availability. Can be prescheduled before the start of the course to have a smooth functioning and completion of course.
Test will be conducted at the end of the course for the self assessment of the student.
