OET or Occupational English Test is specially designed for medical professionals who are looking forward to work in abroad or English speaking countries like Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland. I am conducting classes for nurses who are interested to appear for this exam.
This exam have 4 modules, Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The marks are distributed as gradesÂ

Reading is divided into 2 sectionÂ
Part A - contest nearly 30 Questions and got 30 minuets to answer this. It will be filling the blank type questions.
Part B- contain 20 questions and need to answer them with in 45 minuets. Itâ??s again divided into 2 passages. It will be optional questions.
ListeningÂ
Have got 2 section. Part A will be a conversation between 2 people and need to fill the answers while listening.Â
Part B you will listen to a medical related talk and need to answer the questions.
Speaking
In this section you will be acting as a nurse. You have to make conversation with the patient. There are 2 speaking task. Itâ??s conducted as a role play.
Writing
Here we have to write a referral letter of a patient or patients family to doctors, physiotherapist, nutritionist, occupational therapist, social worker or a nurse. All details will be given in the booklet. The word count is limited to 180-200.
