As the world is technology-driven, IC/chip designers are of great demand and the industry looks for persons having knowledge and those who can design the chip with PPA trade-off. PPA stands for Power, Performance and Area. That is, the VLSI industry is looking for engineers who can design the chip with minimum power and area but with maximum performance.
This class is for those who are from ECE/EE background and are interested to join in VLSI design field. The class gives basics to advanced level concepts including practical sessions. It starts from basic concepts of Digital Circuit design (logic gates, combinational and sequential logic circuits,FSM,counters, its practical simulations) to the industry needed protocol standards namely PCIe, AMBA and so on.
The flow of VLSI design will be well explained in this course. As the industry requires graduates of practical knowledge, I hope this course will be useful for those who are aspiring to be in the chip design field.
