Phonics has its own rule.. vowels having 2 sounds and thn double letter word thn digraph, dipthong etc.

There are many words which are out of Phonics sounds. For example letter i sound is /ee/. But when same letter i becomes I which means me we can not read it as per the sound, but need to read it as a letter.
