Parag Patil

I have completed my school studies as a full timer and then did my diploma in mechanical engineering from Government Polytechnic, Jalgaon. After that I pursued my bachelors in mechanical engineering from University of Pune. I was engaged in a 3 months internship with TATA Motors and simultaneously working on my research project related to advance combustion engine concept while doing my graduation studies. In TATA Motors I was responsible for manufacturing process planning of Gear box. I have learnt a lot from the internship experience and in-house research project experience which has sharpened my skill sets and expertise that I possess in automotive engineering through the vast and elaborate engineering study. Currently, I am working on BIW and assembly systems at Dran Classic Automation, Pune. At Dran, I am working on 3D design & 2D drafting on Renault & Daimler Projects. I have been trained for Rob CAD software. It is a very enriching experience for me to work on design software & it helps me in designing the components of my research project related to advance combustion engine in detail.
I have discovered various dimensions of my personality by participating in different extracurricular activities parallel to my academic study I had received Awarded as winner of the Daimler Student Innovation Competition and invited to attend Euro Brake 2015, Dresden, Germany as Daimler and FISITA’s invited guest; In addition to this, an invitation for oral presentation, from FISITA 2014, 35th World Automotive Congress which was going to be held at Netherland. Recently I got acceptance from SAE 2015 Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress for my improvised FERE. I have received special appreciation from the jury members for this project at national level project and poster design Competition in 2014. And, I have filed a patent on it as well. I was declared as winner in “Innovative Product Design Competition” organized by IET (UK) in 2013 for an interesting and innovative concept. In addition to this, I was winner of National level paper Presentation competition held in 2012 and I was active member of MESA (Mechanical Engineering Student Association), Pune. I had good lead in cultural and technical events of the institution. I have given excellent performance at state level Kickboxing and being a member of college basket ball team achieved good position at district level. Various such initiatives have immensely added to my personality & my overall development.
