Yes Pankaj, it is safe to practice yoga with knee problem even it can cure the problem but should practice under a professional and experienced yoga teacher who will look after your knee problem and will make you practice which will not affect your knees by using proper techniques, with perfect alignment and by using yoga props. And can modify the asanas according to your capability and physical condition.
Suggest practising one-on-one session if someone has any physical condition.
