Which camera is good for beginners?

Any camera that u can afford is a good camera. There are many options available canon and Nikon both have couple of models as the basic dslr.

Most important Tip is to follow the rules of the jungle and not to break it (Photography Ethics) Patience. Time. Equipment.

What is a tripod?

It is one of the way of handling a camera with stability. Tripod is a must when u r trying to capture an image at low shutter speeds . Birds. Always a support of a tripod or a bean bag is the best.
