First of all, to make him learn patience, you have to have patience with him. As this is one of the childhood characteristics, this is perfectly normal behaviour of your childhood.
Now, to make him learn patience, set out small-small goals which can be anything little poem etc. (start with very small initially) and put some small reward which would be liked by him like allow him to watch his favourite cartoon or play with him his favourite game etc. to complete this goal. This small goal can be increased at a later stage. You will notice that his patience level gradually increases, and his interest also increases in the studies.
Thank you!
