Vidushi Gouri Ghosh Kar has been into Hindustani Classical Genre for almost 59 years.She acquired her initial taaleem from the Great Shree Kanaidas Bairagi Ji(who was also the 1st Guru of Padma Bhusan Pandir Ajoy Chakraborty Ji). Gouri Ji has been training new as well as experienced musicians for more than three decades. She is known for her uniqueness and also for her teaching abilities. She has been training  music teachers across India since many long years.

Hindustani Classical has many stages of Learning which includes years and years of Saldana & Tapasya

1. First she focuses on each candidate.

2. Vocal Checkups and pitch selections are done before conducting the classes. 

3. Then Comes the 200 ways of Singing the Swar SA. After the perfection of SA, she moves on to the next milestone which is Swar Identification and Matching the vocal frequency with the frequency of Tanpura.This keeps on going until and unless the candidate builds strength in their roots.

4.Then the Milestone of intermediate and advanced level classes comes in.
