Dr. Aravind GP

I am a Ph.D. graduate from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). My doctoral research involves the development of a computational model for simulating the complex transport phenomena involving turbulent, compressible, 3D flows, and heat/mass transfer. Besides, I have also been associated with computational/experimental analysis of other complex research problems in heat/mass transfer and fluid flow as part of the teaching assistantship. I successfully defended my doctoral thesis in February 2020.

Currently I am a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (Aug 2021 - till date). I have worked as an Assistant Professor (ad hoc basis) in the department of mechanical engineering at National Institute of Technology, Calicut from September 2020 to July 2021.

I did my post-graduation in mechanical engineering with specialization in turbomachinery from National Institute of Technology Surat, where I have been involved in the experimental and numerical analysis of high pressure ratio airfoils for axial flow compressors. I successfully completed my MTech with an aggregate of 9.62 CGPA.

I am a Certified Associate in Autodesk Inventor and Certified Professional in Computer Aided Mechanical Design.
