Yog is all about to do whatever your body demands.
Shavasan is the best relaxing pose a kind pf natural and true energy buster, but it's to be done when needed most, that means when tired.
There is no any rule or compulsion of performing any asan on mat, there may not be any benift other than plessibo effect if you get yes in answer of your question. Lol.
Answer is No.

Dear, Yoga is originally a Sanskrit term.
Those who know संस्कृत (Sanskrit) will read this term - योग as Yog.
But whenever a Sanskrit term is written in English, some grammatical rules are to be followed.
Like, any or every nown, if having a complete letter at the end of that word, will have a swar अ. That means - योग is य् + ओ + ग् + अ
So, it's written in English YOGA but pronounced Yog.
योगा (Yogaa) is the wrong pronounciation.
You can see some people doing same mistake for terms like Charaka (चरक), ashtanga (अष्टांग), etc.
Hope you understood.
