Dr A K Mathai

Dr. Mathai has nearly three and half decades of experience in Biostatistics, Clinical Trials and Epidemiology. He retired as Senior Technical Officer from National Institute of Epidemiology (ICMR), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He worked as Associate Director and HOD, Department of Biostatistics, MakroCare Clinical Research Organization and Manager – Biostatistics at PAREXEL International, Hyderabad. Dr. Mathai currently working as Director and HOD, Department of Biostatistics, MakroCare Clinical Research Organization, Hyderabad.
Dr. Mathai has secured M. Sc. from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala; MPS from International Institute for Population Science, Mumbai; MCA from Madhurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu; MBA from Pondicherry Central University, Pondicherry; Ph. D from Madras University, Tamil Nadu; and FCLR from Medvarsity and Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad. He has published many research articles in the national and international journals and presented his findings in the national and international conferences and workshops.
Dr. Mathai has guided the M. Sc. Biostatistics students for their thesis preparation. He has delivered lectures for the MPH students at National Institute of Epidemiology (ICMR), Chennai and the students at Sardar Patel University, Gujarat. He has membership in the Indian Society for Medical Statistics; Indian Public Health Association; Indian Association for statistics in clinical trials and Indian Society for Clinical Research.
