There are 12 verb tenses in grammar.
Simple Present, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, Present Perfect Continuous, Simple Past, Past Continuous, Past Perfect, Past Perfect Continuous, Simple Future, Future Continuous, Future Perfect, Future Perfect Continuous.
Simple Present- I read the book almost every day.
Present Continuous- I am reading the storybook at this moment.
Present Perfect- I have read many story books till now.
Present Perfect Continuous- I have been reading since I was four years old
Simple Past- Last night, I read the entire book.
Past Continuous- Last night, I was reading the mystery book.
Past Perfect- I had read almost 500 books by the time I reach 12 years old.
Past Perfect Continuous- I had been reading at least a year before my sister learned to read.
Simple Future- I will read as much as I can this year
Future Continuous- I will be reading the story tomorrow
Future Perfect- I will have read 100 books by the end of this year.
Future Perfect Continuous- I will have been reading at least 3 hours before dinner tonight.
