Sankaranarayana Patnaikuni

I am Patnaikuni Sankara Narayana, your art teacher. Um… Where to begin? Okay, let me just tell you how my journey as an artist begin, in just a few words.
Since my childhood, I used to have a lot of enthusiasm for creating something new. I used to create a lot of things in my mind and put them on a piece of paper, in form of pictures. This is actually what kindled the passion towards the art, in me.
With the effort I put in learning drawing and painting, today I could draw pictures using various mediums, with expertise. My motto of being something different from the other artists and my curiosity towards art actually led me to experiment with various combinations of elements in art. The combinations I created are mostly unique.
I set up LALITHA ART GALLERY” in 2008 and even today, I am trying to improve it in some or the other way possible…
My will to spread the art I learned, to as many people as possible and improve their skill, made me begin these drawing and painting courses. My students let it be children or elders, all together earned over two thousand awards and prizes at the state level, national level and international levels.
What completes me as a qualified art teacher are the degrees I hold. I completed the Lower & Higher Drawing Diplomas and the teacher training in first class and was the topper for the Fine Art Painting (5 Year) courses I attended and I feel happy about that.
According to me, for being an artist just the book-related knowledge and certificates are secondary. What matters the most, is the skill. For most of the other courses, the knowledge is as important as the skill. But for arts… Skill plays the primary part.
Developing and improving our skills will help us get the knowledge. It will help us to become one of the BEST in whatever we do or sometimes… ‘The’ best in what we intend to do.
