CPT Revised CA Foundation Course. CA Foundation is a part of the revised scheme introduced by the ICAI. CA Foundation is an entry level test designed for the students who want to pursue the CA Course. A student after appearing in 12th examination can register for the CA Foundation course.
At CPT/FOUNDATION level, there are 4 subjects then at IPCC and INTERMEDIATE level, there are 7 and 8 subjects respectively then at finals (old) and finals(new) are 7 and 8 subjects respectively. You can visit the ICAI website for more detailed information.
A student who registers on or after 1st July, 2017 shall be listed under new course i.e CA foundation. The First attempt of CA Foundation would be scheduled on May 2018. The last date for CA foundation registration is on 31st December.
Generally people consider only 3 years of articleship period as a complete tenure for CA course but before that a 1 year study for the first two levels is also required which makes a total of 4 years for completing CA course
