"My son has been going to Francis for guitar classes for close to 4 years.He started as a beginner and has completed his 4th grade exams. From the start there was a comfortable and good relationship between student and teacher. My son enjoyed and picked it up very easily. Francis does not always go by the book but allowed my son to explore different types of pieces. He takes a lot of interest and is quite a patient teacher. Very happy my son has had the opportunity to have his guidance. "

He gets into the depth of every aspect of guitar playing which if followed correctly will enable you to come up with your arrangement. "I used to hate guitar. Somehow I got interested and started learning it online but couldn't progress much. Before joining his classes, I was primarily focusing on drumming and thought to pursue a career in it and learn guitar as a hobby. After joining his classes, I was still treating guitar as a hobby, at least I felt it was just a hobby. My love for guitar grew tremendously somehow(of course because of him). I started practicing it with equal dedication as I was practicing drums. I am not a great guitarist, yet, but he brings out the best in you even if you don't believe in yourself. He has motivated me a lot by showing me how and why those great guitarists are great and what I gotta do to reach there, which makes the biggest difference in teaching/learning. You can find a thousand teachers who can teach you those amazing 20 songs to impress your peers but very few who has the ability to make you create the 21st. You guessed it right, he is among those few. Some of you may not like his way of teaching because he is not a people pleaser and you have to practice a lot of scales and a lot of boring stuff(boring for some people, not for me, that's my breakfast). Bottom line is, he is there to teach you guitar and make you great."

"His classes are really well-structured. I know nothing about music, but from the zero point, he helped me building a solid foundation step by step. In practical part, he taught me playing skills and music knowledge, and in concept part, he taught me styles of strumming and which chords sound happy or sad. No matter what questions I asked, he always can lead me to see a bigger picture (which means he really knows guitar). Also, he gave feedback of my practicing, and pointed out which part I did good, and which part I need to practice more. If I dont understand some part of his lecturing, he will try another way to explain to me until I really understand. His requirements for practicing is very precise and that's very important for beginners. He didnt give me a fancy idea that once you finish the 10 classes, you can play whatever songs you want. Instead, he gave me a realistic idea that it take years to mater guitar, which pushed me to see this matter more serious. Without a correct start and continuous practice, it's very easy to stop in the middle, but when I see some progress in every class, the rewarding feeling motivates me to keep practice. "

"I was introduced to Francis Sir by a friend and in my first meeting I realised that I could improve my skills with him. Though I could play the guitar even before attending his classes (very limited knowledge) since my first class with him in June I can feel there has been a tremendous improvement in my guitar playing skills. Right from holding the guitar, the pick, strumming and playing chords, he guided me in the right direction but also ensuring that it doesn't disturb the style that I was already used to previously. He takes interest in ensuring that the students' interests are taken into consideration while imparting lessons and from his classes it is evident that he follows no strict methods to teach but is open to suggestions and adopts a unique approach with each students taking into account their strengths and weaknesses. His knowledge in music (all kinds) is a huge plus. He also engages in friendly banters but is rightly strict when there is a lax on our part when it comes to attendance or practice. "

"Hi, I am Johnson (47 years old), writing this review on behalf of my children, Jeffery (17 years) and Edwin (12 years) both are learning guitar under Mr. Francis. I had been searching for a music school in Bangalore where my children can found the same or more amount of passion for music as I feel, and I feel that I found what I had been looking for…. No matter what your age is, what profession you are from, you can easily blend in and learn music from scratch….so much attention is given to every student to help them grow, in knowledge and in confidence. Mr. Francis gives individual attention on each and every student. Within short period, my children improved a lot, my children learned basic of music theory, Mr. Francis helped a lot to understand western music styles of notes to play guitar. "Francis Sir a great teacher. He has all the characteristics that i look for in a teacher. He is warm, accessible and enthusiastic and sets high expectations for his students. I have tried my hand at learning guitar at multiple stages and stopped partly due to my laziness & partly due to lack of good teacher. He is extremely patient with each students and has the ability to shift gears. He gauges his students and creates customised material for each students based on their pace & ability. For example, on the first meeting, i played a small piece from stairway to heaven that i had learned from an online tab source. He listened to it intently and corrected me 7 classes later (when i was ready) explaining the right way to play that piece with minimum hand movements. What i like the most about him is his own love for learning, and his discipline. He is more than willing to share with us his work ethic to demonstrate what you we achieve by constantly motivating us. After i met him, I made a good friend too. "

"His profound knowledge and understanding of harmony offered his pupils an early sense of the syntax of music, but he never pushed us to ‘study’ it. Rather, by mentioning for example the beauty of a sixth chord or a deceiving cadence, he made us susceptible to details and harmonic color. The music in itself was always more important than the instrument involved – something that was most obvious in the fingering he provided for us. He also often referred to other instruments and instrumentalists being a writer, a philosopher and composer, he inspired his students in many aspects of music and life. , influenced his style very strongly and created a ‘Zen’-like atmosphere in the classroom.
