She in the person who teaches with passion and her students too will become passionate in the process. I discontinued in between due to fear of exam when I was still a kid, she understood me and made me understand it is important to gain knowledge first and then we can think about exam. "I had a pleasant experience beginning my hindustani vocal training with her and trained under her for nearly 2 years. Sushma Ji is from the Kirana Gharana and was trained by Pandit Parameshwar Hegde himself. She has all the traits of a great teacher. She has the patience and is all ears for her students and understands the pace of her student and teaches accordingly. She gives elaborate description and emphasis on the basics and emphasizes on various alankars to train our voice before tackling ragas which are easily overlooked elsewhere. Her teaching is malleable and therefore not always abiding by music school like syllabus, meaning you can choose what you wish to learn, either chota khayal or bada khayals, bhajans, light music etc. And most importantly she is light hearted and has a beautiful voice and is a pleasure listening to. "

"Sushma madam is very encouraging. She always pushes you to do better. It's been more than 2 yrs I am learning vocal music from sushma madam. And I get to hear that my voice and singing has improved a lot than before. She never looses her patience, it's been almost a year my 7 years old son has also started learning vocal music. I see gradual improvement since the time he started. I would suggest that if you are looking for pure classical vocal training than Sushma mam is best. She takes online tutorials too and that's amazing because when you are out of station you can still continue without break. Few lines won't do justice for the knowledge that she has and always ready to share, all I can say is you have to experience it to know it for yourself. I have found my guru in Sushma madam and hope you too find and get blessed by maa saraswati. Thank you mam for the opportunity to express my views."
