I am a dedicated Kathak performer of the Jaipur gharana. I am a disciple of eminent guru Ms. Monisa Nayak ji. I did Sangeet Alankar in Kathak from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi. I have also done a one-year acting course from National School of Drama, Delhi & learned Hindustani Vocal Music for a few years.
I have performed extensively in and outside Delhi in group compositions as well as a Soloist. I assisted my guru at Workshop Demonstrations & Lecture Demonstrations conducted by Spic Macay at various schools & colleges of Kota, Baran, Jhallawar & Boondi in Rajasthan, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Chandigarh etc. I am presently working at Khanak Institute of Performing Arts, Delhi as a Kathak teacher.

I am 18+ now.Though I have never learned dancing I am very much interested amd passionate about learning Bharatnatyam or Kathak but I lack confidence as people of my age are already very good dancers.Moreover,now I have pressure of my studies. So how can I start learning any one of the classical dance forms as soon as possible? 

Age doesn't matter if you have the passion to learn dance. I have had students even older than you who joined Kathak at a later stage in life & can dance well. You will definitely gain confidence once you start learning. If you have pressure of studies, you can join weekend batches or any batch... ...more

You will definitely gain confidence once you start learning. If you have pressure of studies, you can join weekend batches or any batch in the evening. That would work as a meditation & relief in between your studies.
