Regarding the use of ‘Wann’, you need to understand that it can be used as a question word and as a conjunction. You can use ‘Wann’ to ask when something happens. Wann’ as a question word can be used either in forming indirect or direct questions.
For example:
Wann Kommt der Bus? It means when does the bus come?
