Yoga involves asana, pranayama, meditation and recitation as well. So best time for meditation is morning so you can divide your time accordingly. In morning half hour - meditation and half hour- pranayama and in evening you can go for asana and recitation which will build your each path correctly.

Yoga had been taken from Sanskrit word "Yuj" that means union. Union of body, mind and soul simultaneously. In yoga we do particular set of asana, sequence of pranayama and different forms of meditation in order to achieve union which leads to ecstasy at all levels and all over 5 Koshas i.e. Annamayakosha, Pranamayakosha, Manomayakosha, vijnanamayakosha and anandmayakosha.

It's good to do yoga first and than go for workout. As in yoga we do micro movement and synchronize our breathing with the movement which requires rhythmic flow of breath in and out but if we do workout first it will increase the breathing flow and temperature of the body. In yoga we need relaxed body in order to unite individual soul to universal soul.

There is no end point in yoga as it is more spiritual process than only physical exercise. As you dig yourself more and more in it you will find new dimensions and colors of life and if we see flexibility perspective it depends on consistency and disciplined yoga practice if you want to get better you have to work on yourself without any lethargy.
