Things will be taught from scratch. This level will prepare you up to mid level cake decorator, at the end of this course you will be confident to handle complex fondant theme cakes.
Highlights of the course:
- All ingredients used in recipes are available locally in India, nothing is used which has to be imported.
- We train you mostly without cutters – why? so that you don’t have to invest heavily in cutters and patterns.We pass on all suppliers list to you at end of course and you are completely free to purchase at your will. So that you are not dependent on any body, not even us.
We will never send you last minute email to bring material, you just have to bring what is listed upfront. Normally our workshops include all the tools, cutters and all the fondant/gum paste required.
We will never surprise you unlike other places to buy tool kits or any other material.
We understand that beginners don’t even know what to purchase and from where to purchase, so we don’t make you run and purchase things, we supply fondant, tools, cutters to work in the workshop.
We will begin with making of the fondant and understanding of pastes like gum paste and modelling paste, this is important so that you get your fondant right. This process will ensure that you have understood the necessary ingredients and their mixing and most importantly to check consistency of sugar paste. 100% Vegetarian option is available in fondant making.
Taught designs:
Flowers: 5 flowers are taught with special emphasis on hand made rose especially with hand technique.
Animals: 2 figures plus lot of tips on creating more figures + you will make lot of creations on Day 2
Human figures: detailed instructions on making human figures with hand techniques, No moulds. You will understand how to mold, pinch & dab to get faces, arms, legs and body. You will also learn how to make clothes for the figures.
Accessories: you will learn how to make bows, borders and other accessories required to finish the cake.

Most Important – How to develop your own theme cakes
Before moving forward, you are encouraged to select a theme of your cake. We do this exercise so that the entire batch gets to see different cakes at one stretch and every one can share ideas, help each other and come out with beautifully decorated cakes.
Class Timing: the fondant/sugar craft class is a 2 day class starting at 9:30 a.m. and finishes around 5.00 p.m. Everything is explained to you step by step so there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The class is held in a group size of 6-8 .
Tools: everybody will be provided with the necessary equipment and ingredients to work with. At the end of the class you get to take home your designed cake.
Lunch: Your lunch is included for 2 days. You don’t need to carry any food.
Venue: The course will be held in Parsi Colony ( near Dadar TT circle), walkable from Dadar station in Bombay.
