Because in decomposition reaction ,one substance decomposes or breaks into two molecules...while in combination reaction, two molecules are combine together and form a new substance.Therefor these two reactions are opposite to each other.
N2+H2------> 2NH3 (combination reaction)
NH3----------> N2 + H2( decomposition reaction)
